How does it work

How is PhotoProAI different from competing services?

PhotoProAI’s model was optimized to generate high quality headshots much faster and cheaper than other competing services. It only requires a single photo as input, and will generate realistic-looking portraits within 60 seconds.

What resolution will the created portraits be?

PhotoProAI generates high quality portraits in a lossless PNG image format with a resolution of 1024 (width) by 1280 (height) pixels, which comes down to about 1.3 megapixels and an average file size of 1.5MB.

Can you generate portraits in a higher resolution?

To keep PhotoProAI affordable, the image resolution can not be changed.

Is the image resolution of PhotoProAI portraits sufficient?

PhotoProAI’s image resolution of 1024x1280 (1.3 megapixels) is more than sufficient for practically all social networks, or for use on a professional website. For example, LinkedIn requires a portrait with an image size of just 400x400 pixels.

Can you convert the portrait to JPEG or GIF?

There are many free online services that allow you to easily convert a PhotoProAI PNG portrait to JPEG, GIF or any other format of your liking. Use your favorite search engine to find one of those free services.

Why does PhotoProAI only require 1 selfie?

How long will it take for the generated portrait to be ready?

Portraits are generated nearly instantly.

What picture formats do you accept for upload?

We support JPG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC but not AVIF or GIF.

Technology

What is PhotoProAI’s underlying technology?

PhotoProAI uses a combination of open source and proprietary technology. This includes Stable Diffusion and a collection of custom-built machine learning technologies to allow us to produce high quality imagery at a fraction of the cost of competing services.

How often is the model updated?

The model is updated continuously based on internal testing, user feedback and new developments in AI image generation.

Why is PhotoProAI faster than competing services?

We’ve trained our model to focus on the portrait elements that truly matter to create a high quality picture, ignoring elements that can be repetitive such as lip color, eye/nose/ear dimensions and relative placement. This means that the AI model can be much smaller in size, requiring fewer computer resources and more importantly, time.

What is on your product roadmap?

We focus our resources on optimizing the machine learning model to create even more photo-realistc AI generated portraits. Also, we will continue to add more portrait styles and provide more options to fine-tune the portraits.

Who founded PhotoProAI?

PhotoProAI was founded by a team of engineers and product managers with a professional background in machine learning at Tencent, ByteDance and Google. The company is headquartered in Singapore but we have team members in Europe (the Netherlands) and in China.

Where is PhotoProAI based?

PhotoProAI is headquartered in Singapore.

Can I visit PhotoProAI in person?

PhotoProAI doesn’t have a physical office. You may run into someone from our team at coffeeshops in Asia or Europe 🙂

Can I get a free trial?

We don’t have the financial means to offer free trials, but kept our pricing incredibly low to make PhotoProAI accessible to anyone in need of a professional headshot.

How does the credit system work?

Unlike many competing services that offer pre-set packages of portrait backgrounds and styles, with PhotoProAI you decide for yourself which types of portraits you want to create. A new portrait costs just 1 credit and you can buy new credits as you go. This way, PortraitProAI doesn’t unnecessarily create all softs of portraits that you didn’t even need or ask for, allowing us to keep our costs down significantly. Those cost savings are passed down to you in the form of lower prices.

How do I know that it’s safe?

We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe is used by millions of websites globally. We do not store your payment information such as credit card details.

Why is PhotoProAI so much cheaper than competing services?

Can I get a refund?

Contact our support team if you are unhappy with the quality of the portraits that are generated. Please include a brief description of what you expected, and how the results are different from that.

Privacy

Where are my photos stored?

The PhotoProAI service uses cloud storage from reputable, global companies that have an excellent safety record.

I want my photos deleted.

We're going to go live with a self-deletion feature. Now please reach out to [email protected] and we’ll delete your uploads and/or generated portraits as soon as possible. Please note this process can not be reversed.

Can I use PhotoProAI to create portrait photos of children / minors?

PhotoProAI was built to generate portraits of adults only. We will consider expansion and development if there is relevant feedback in the future.

Photo ownership

Who owns the portraits generated by PhotoProAI?

You have full ownership of all portraits generated by PhotoProAI.

Where can I use the portraits generated by PhotoProAI?

You can use the generated portraits anywhere you like, including your professional website, your resume or a social network such as LinkedIn.

Our aim is to get back to any inquiry within a few hours, but certainly without 24 hours on weekdays. Our team is distributed across Asia and Europe.
